British Car Display at the Scottish Festival, Holmdel, NJ
PNC BANK ARTS CENTER - October 1, 2006
I along with my club, the Positive Earth Driver's Club, am working with the
organizers of the NJ Scottish Heritage Festival to put on a display of British
cars at this year's event. The Festival will be held Sunday, Oct. 1, 2006
at the PNC Bank Arts Center, exit 116 off the Garden State Parkway in Holmdel,
I would like to make this a "Gathering of the British Car Clans", so please consider this your club's invitation to participate. This will be an opportunity for a number of you to come, set up your banner, promote your club and generally enjoy the day.
The festival features entertainment in the form of traditional Highland dancers, pipe bands and athletic events along with other diversions like ethnic food, jewelry and other vendors, sheep herding demonstrations, etc. There should be plenty to do for anyone with an appreciation of Celtic history and culture.
For the time being, we're planning a display of 30 cars though this could be expanded if the response is strong. Admission for the event is free, which should appeal to the Scotsman in all of us. Please discuss this with your people and consider joining us. I'll need to know your club is coming and how many you'll bring (up to 5 per club should be no problem, let me know if there's more) as soon as possible but no later than September 15, 2006.
Hope to see you there, Wayne Simpson

If anyone is interested in attending this event please contact
Joe Terraciano as soon as possible, but
prior to Sept 15, 2006 due to the apparent possible limited number of cars
that will be allowed to participate.
